Theatre Open Day
Theatre Open Day
On Saturday 16th December, we are throwing open the doors of the Concordia Theatre to give you a chance to find out more about this wonderful venue, with the hope that a few of you may want to join our fantastic band of volunteers! We will have staff on hand to show you just what happens inside one of most successful voluntary run theatres in the country. You will be able to learn about technical areas such as lighting and sound and perhaps even have the chance to gain some hands-on experience! Our workshop team will be around to show how some of the fantastic sets are constructed in-house. Or maybe you fancy learning more about what is involved in the ‘Front of House’ side of the Concordia? – come along and find out!
There will also be representatives from the various performing groups based at the theatre, who will be only too willing to tell you all about their upcoming shows. Perhaps you’re a budding actor, singer or dancer just waiting for the opportunity to appear on our stage? Come and chat to us!
As the event is so near to Christmas we thought we would get you into the festive spirit by decorating the building with numerous Christmas trees representing the various societies and departments – so join our Christmas tree trail and follow the Concordia Christmas spirit as it weaves its magic around the theatre! First stop Santa’s Christmas model railway!
Feeling in need of some refreshment? Then our Spotlight Bar and Coffee Lounge will also be open with a selection of light refreshments etc.
DON’T FORGET THE DATE – SATURDAY DECEMBER 16TH FROM 10.00AM – 4.00PM – SEE YOU THERE!
